Empty Sac At 7 Weeks Any Hope
I am supposed to be seven weeks along and at my ultrasound yesterday (thursday) all they saw was an empty gestational sac that measured 6 weeks, 5 days. They did both abdominal and transvaginal scans. What appears to be a small gestational sac could actually be a pseudo sac and the pregnancy could be ectopic. They absolutely should not be making you wait so long for a follow up. At 7 weeks i went in again, and saw nothing but a still growing, empty sac.
They told me it was anembryonic and they tested hcg again a few days later and it was dropping. We could only see a very tiny gestational sac. We were called for another u/s a week later at 7 weeks & only saw empty gestational sac, no baby or yolk sac inside. An empty sac at 6 weeks can still considered to be within the range of normal, especially if your dates are not exact. So i had a follow up scan from last weeks empty sac and its still empty today !! Measuring 18mm which is usual for almost 7 weeks she said.
